Hey! My name is Zarshed. I am the new content marketing intern at Quirk. I am from Uzbekistan. Here in the UK, I am an undergraduate student at City, University of London and I am passionate about digital marketing and all other trends evolving around it.
I got “Blissful” and I agree with that. I am quite an emotional person and this is the way how I spend my money sometimes. I understand the importance of being financially literate but still, this is something that I keep ignoring.
I believe that the idea behind Quirk is something that can make a difference and impact young people's lives in a good way. The other reason is the team and the founders whom I found really interesting and intelligent people to work with. Finally, it is a valuable experience and I know I will get valuable learnings and get to contribute to Quirk's mission.
I used to be a person who did not really care about financial health. However, living alone in a foreign country made me start caring for my financial health. It was the first time when I started budgeting. It was difficult to adjust to that but when I saw the results made from budgeting in terms of money saved, that made me realize that personal finance is extremely important. Currently, I am still developing my financial habits and getting myself into investing.
At first, I was trying to leave at least 20% of the money I received. Later, I came across a rule of 50/20/30 and started using it with my own money. However, since I discovered Quirk, I have been using it for budgeting goals.
Yes. My goal is to become financially independent. It may sound simple but that is important to me. Becoming financially independent is my long-term goal which consists of many smaller steps.
I like Turkish cuisine. Thus, I enjoy spending my time with my friends in Turkish restaurants. My other guilty pleasure is shoes. It is something that I can not control myself.
Well, I am a good representative of Gen Z who checks credit balances “often”. It has always been a fear to check my balance and still it is something I am super willing to do. However, I am making progress and getting better at it.
It is Revolut that I use daily as a payment method. For my budgeting, I use Quirk!
